These terms apply to your use of holdtheloss.com (the “site”) and to anything you order from Hold the Loss. By using the site or submitting an order form, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Hold the Loss is operated by Mauricio Brito (“Hold the Loss”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@holdtheloss.com.
Our books, audio, video and emails are for general education only. They are not medical advice and do not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional. Talk to your doctor before starting new exercise or changing how you eat, and talk to your prescriber about any change to your medication. Never stop, start or change a medication because of something you read from us. Research we describe comes from studies of groups of people, and individual results vary. Our full medical disclaimer appears at the bottom of every page and is part of these terms.
Hold the Loss is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any pharmaceutical company.
You must be at least 18 years old to order. We currently ship printed books only to addresses in the United States.
Submitting an order form is a request to buy. A purchase is complete only when we confirm your order and your payment has been processed. You will receive an email confirming any completed order.
Products are offered while available. If an item is out of stock or not yet available, we will not charge you, and we may let you know when it becomes available.
We may decline, limit or cancel any order, for example if an item becomes unavailable, a price was shown in error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you’ve paid for, we’ll refund you in full.
All prices are in US dollars.
The printed book is free. You pay a one-time shipping and handling charge of $12.95, which covers printing, packing and postage.
Optional add-ons (such as the audiobook and eBook, or the video masterclass) are shown with their price before you order. You only pay for the items you choose.
There is no subscription. Ordering the book does not sign you up for any recurring charge. If we ever offer a membership, it will be a separate offer with its own price and terms, and you will be asked to agree to it separately.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, [Stripe]. We do not store your full card details.
Printed books are printed and mailed by our fulfillment partner. We’ll email you when your book ships. Delivery usually takes [X–Y] business days after shipping, but we can’t guarantee delivery dates.
Please check your shipping address. We aren’t responsible for books sent to an address you entered incorrectly, but we’ll do our best to help.
If your book arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive within 30 days of shipping, email us and we’ll send a replacement or refund your shipping charge.
Audiobooks, eBooks and video masterclasses are delivered by email or through a link. When you buy one, you get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own non-commercial use. Please don’t share, resell or publish it.
The Keep-the-Book Promise: love it, or email us at hello@holdtheloss.com within 30 days of delivery and we’ll refund your $12.95 shipping and handling. You keep the book either way.
Optional add-ons come with the same 30 days: email us within 30 days of purchase and we’ll refund what you paid for them. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within [5–10] business days.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.
When you give us your email address, we’ll send you emails about your order and, if you request it, the free 7-Day Starter Plan. We may also send you emails about our other guides. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop them at any time. We don’t send text messages unless you separately agree to receive them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
All text, images, designs, books, audio and video on the site and in our products belong to Hold the Loss or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or distribute them without our written permission, except for your own personal use as described above.
Please don’t misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, interfering with how it works, submitting false information, or using it for anything unlawful.
The site may link to research or other websites we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content or practices.
We work hard to make our guides accurate and useful, but the site and our products are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no promises that the content is complete, error-free or right for your situation, or that you’ll get any particular result.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hold the Loss will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of [state / country, to be set once the legal entity is decided], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to orders placed after the update.
